Wow, it’s been a busy two weeks!  I’ve done 3 weddings and 7 boudoir shoots and I have so much to blog!  Everything started with the wedding of Tanis and John, a fun couple I met last year.  They live in Washington, D.C., but were planning their wedding here in Raleigh.  I know first hand how difficult it can be planning a wedding long distance, but they did a fantastic job!

The ceremony was at Hillyer Memorial Christian Church in downtown Raleigh.  I had never shot there before, but really liked all of the natural light inside as well as the beautiful stone exterior.

Love these shoes!

Tanis wrote a note to John before the ceremony:

The guys braved the heat to pose (quickly) for me outside:

Time to put those gorgeous shoes on:

I snapped this shot as Tanis was walking up the stairs for the ceremony:

Tanis’ father had passed away, and so she had her mother, Pat, walk her down the aisle:

The officiant on the right is actually the daughter of the person who married Tanis’ parents, and came all the way from Texas!

A young guest “reads” the program during the ceremony:

Sand Ceremony:

The happy couple:

The reception was at the Cardinal Club in Downtown Raleigh.  One of the things I love about shooting there and that really seperates it from the other ballrooms in the area is the view and all of the gorgeous natural light.

First Dance:

One of the things I’ve enjoyed about shooting Tanis is how infectious her laugh is:
