Wow, what a wedding I  had the privilege to shoot on Saturday in Virginia!  Massie and Jonathan were married on her family’s farm, and boy, did they do it up right!    This wedding was a great example of attention to detail and very cool little touches.

Massie and the girls got ready in the farm house.  This was actually Massie’s old bedroom.  Fun, huh?

I’ve named this image “temptation!”

This little guy is Evan, Jonathan’s son.  He loves getting his picture taken….

Not everyone was happy to be wearing a boutonniere:

Here’s the tent that the reception was in:

And a close up of some of the cool paper lanterns:

There were lots of little details, like these ribbons on champagne glasses:

And ribbons with their names wrapped around the flatware bundles:

A very cool ice sculpture with the most amazing seafood:

Massie smiled the entire evening!

We even go to hear a drum solo from Evan when the band leader brought him up on stage:

Here’s another shot of Evan just before he go caught trying to sample the wedding cake:

I had a lot of fun trying different things for my ring shots.  Here’s one I like:

And another using the pixie stix from the Candy Bar:

I don’t have any portraits of Massie and Jonathan to share with you yet as we’re doing those in a Day After/Trash the Dress session after they get back from the Bahamas.  I’ve got a few ideas in mind, and the fall leaves should be perfect, so check back in little while!
