Those of you who know me know that two of my most favorite things are photography and dogs, so I was ecstatic to have the opportunity to do an engagement shoot with Whitney and Danny and their dog, Nikko. We started the shoot off here at the farm with Nikko doing a fabulous job holding the save-the-date sign.
Such a handsome fellow! My dogs watched through the window the entire time.
After we got what we needed for the save-the-dates, we headed over to Yates Mill Pond for some more variety. As it’s a nature preserve, dogs are not allowed, so Nikko got to enjoy a well deserved treat in the car.
Danny comes from a very musical family (I’m looking forward to seeing what they do at the wedding!) and wanted to incorporate his guitar into some of the shots:
One of the reasons that I like to shoot at Yates Mill Pond is that not only do you get the beauty of nature as a backdrop, there’s also the incredible lines and texture of the old mill itself:
not to mention the pond….
